Ingredients
Scale
Crescent Rolls
- 2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough
Cream Cheese Filling
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Layer the First Crescent Roll Dough: Press one can of crescent roll dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, making sure to seal any perforations to create a solid base layer.
- Prepare and Spread the Cream Cheese Filling: In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, ½ cup of granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread this mixture evenly over the crescent roll base.
- Add the Top Crescent Roll Layer: Stretch the second can of crescent roll dough over the cream cheese filling, adjusting it to fit the dish, and press lightly to cover the filling completely.
- Apply Butter and Cinnamon Sugar: Brush the melted butter evenly over the top layer of dough. Then sprinkle a mixture of the remaining ½ cup granulated sugar combined with 1 teaspoon cinnamon over the buttered surface.
- Bake the Casserole: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and cooked through.
- Cool and Serve: Once baked, let the casserole cool for at least 20 minutes to set before slicing into 12 servings and serving.
