Instructions
- Preheat Oven. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for baking the casserole evenly.
- Combine Ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, tzatziki sauce, cooked rice, diced cucumbers, halved cherry tomatoes, and crumbled feta cheese to create a flavorful and well-blended filling.
- Season and Mix. Drizzle the olive oil over the mixture and add salt and pepper to taste. Stir thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are evenly coated and seasoned.
- Transfer to Baking Dish. Grease a baking dish lightly to prevent sticking, then spread the mixture evenly inside.
- Bake. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through, bubbly, and slightly golden on top.
- Cool and Serve. Remove the casserole from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving to let the flavors settle and avoid burns.
Notes
- You can substitute cooked rice with quinoa or couscous for variety and added nutrition.
- For added flavor, sprinkle some chopped fresh dill or parsley before serving.
- If preferred, use low-fat tzatziki and reduced-fat feta cheese to reduce fat content.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
