Scale
Main Ingredients
- 12-ounce package of smoked kielbasa (either the horseshoe-shaped link or two large links)
- 8-count crescent roll dough
- 1-2 teaspoons Everything but the Bagel Seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure it’s ready for baking the kielbasa bites.
- Prepare the Crescent Dough: Divide the crescent roll dough into two large pieces, each made up of 4 individual triangles. Press the dough lightly with your fingers to seal the seams together so it forms a solid piece.
- Place Kielbasa on Dough: Lay one half of the kielbasa on top of one piece of the crescent dough, positioning it towards the bottom edge of the dough.
- Roll and Season: Roll the dough tightly around the kielbasa. Sprinkle half of the Everything Bagel Seasoning (about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon) over the rolled dough, pressing the seeds into the surface. Roll the kielbasa roll on a cutting board to coat all sides evenly with the seasoning. Repeat this step with the other half of the kielbasa and remaining dough and seasoning.
- Slice and Arrange: Cut each rolled kielbasa into equal sized slices to create bite-sized pieces. Place these slices spaced evenly on a cookie sheet.
- Bake: Bake the kielbasa bites in the preheated oven for 9-12 minutes, until the crescent dough is lightly golden and cooked through.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the bites cool for 5 minutes before serving to allow flavors to set and avoid burning your mouth.
Notes
- You can substitute the Everything but the Bagel Seasoning with your favorite spice blend or poppy seeds and sesame seeds if desired.
- For a spicier twist, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the seasoning mix.
- Ensure the crescent dough seams are sealed well to prevent the filling from leaking during baking.
- Serve with mustard or your preferred dipping sauce for extra flavor.
- These bites are best enjoyed warm but can be reheated in the oven to maintain crispiness.
