Description

This Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Cheesy Alfredo Twists recipe combines tender, juicy steak bites with creamy, cheesy Alfredo pasta twists. Prepared in just 25 minutes, it’s a perfect weeknight meal that balances rich garlic butter flavors with luscious Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, all served over perfectly cooked pasta twists.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1 lb steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Pasta & Sauce

  • 12 oz pasta twists (rotini or cavatappi)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook the pasta twists according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta well and set it aside to be combined later.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak bites with salt and black pepper. Add the steak to the hot skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until nicely browned on all sides. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet used for the steak, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring over medium heat until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. Add the Italian seasoning and mix well.
  4. Combine Pasta and Steak: Return the cooked pasta twists and steak bites to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss everything together thoroughly to ensure the pasta and steak are coated evenly with the creamy sauce.
  5. Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pasta and steak mixture. Allow it to melt slightly over low heat before serving to add an extra cheesy layer of flavor.

Notes

  • Use a tender cut of steak such as sirloin or ribeye for the best flavor and texture.
  • Be careful not to overcook the steak to keep it juicy and tender.
  • You can substitute half-and-half for heavy cream for a lighter sauce, though it will be less rich.
  • Feel free to add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • For gluten-free options, use gluten-free pasta twists.
