Ingredients
Scale
Meats and Cheese
- 4 ounces Ham, finely diced
- 4 ounces Pepperoni, finely diced
- 4 ounces Salami, finely diced
- 4 ounces Provolone cheese, finely diced
Vegetables
- 1 head Iceberg lettuce, finely diced
- 1 large Tomato, seeded and finely diced
- 1 ounce Banana Peppers, finely diced
Dressing
- ¾ cup Mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons Red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 ounce Hoagie Spread (hot pepper relish)
Instructions
- Prep the Ingredients: Finely dice the ham, pepperoni, salami, and provolone cheese. Cut the tomato in half and scoop out the pulp and seeds to avoid extra liquid, then finely dice. Finely dice the iceberg lettuce and banana peppers as well. Place all these diced ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
- Make the Dressing: In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, olive oil, Italian seasoning, and hoagie spread until smooth and well combined to create a flavorful dressing.
- Combine the Mixture: Pour the dressing over the diced meats, cheese, and vegetables. Using a large spoon, gently fold the mixture together carefully, ensuring everything is evenly coated with the dressing without mashing the ingredients.
- Chill and Serve: Cover the bowl and refrigerate until ready to serve. For best flavor, allow the dip to marinate for at least a few hours or up to 24 hours before serving. Serve chilled with crackers, bread, or fresh veggies for dipping.
Notes
- The tomato pulp and seeds are removed to prevent excess moisture in the dip.
- This dip can be made up to 24 hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator; flavors develop as it marinates.
- Serve with your favorite crackers, breadsticks, or fresh vegetable sticks for a crowd-pleasing appetizer.
- Adjust the amount of hoagie spread or banana peppers to control the heat level.
- For a low-fat version, substitute mayonnaise with light or Greek yogurt, though it will slightly change the texture.
