Description

A refreshing and creamy Mango Orange Banana Smoothie combining the tropical sweetness of mango and banana with the bright citrus flavor of fresh orange juice. This quick and easy smoothie also includes creamy Greek yogurt and almond milk for added richness, with optional honey and ice to customize sweetness and texture. Perfect for a healthy breakfast or a nourishing snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen mango chunks
  • 1 banana, sliced (preferably frozen for extra creaminess)

Liquids

  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (optional for added creaminess)
  • 1/4 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional for added sweetness)
  • A handful of ice cubes (optional for a thicker smoothie)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit: Gather and prepare your fruit by cutting fresh mango into chunks. For a creamier texture, freeze the banana slices for at least 2-3 hours before blending.
  2. Add liquids to blender: Pour the orange juice into the blender first, followed by the Greek yogurt if you are using it, to help the blending process go smoothly.
  3. Add main ingredients: Add the mango chunks, frozen banana slices, and almond milk into the blender on top of the liquids.
  4. Add optional sweetness and texture: Include optional honey or agave syrup to adjust sweetness, and add ice cubes if you prefer a thicker smoothie consistency.
  5. Blend and serve: Blend on low speed initially, then increase to high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Adjust consistency by adding more milk or ice if needed. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired. Pour into glasses and serve immediately for the freshest flavor.

Notes

  • Freezing the banana results in a thicker, creamier smoothie.
  • Use fresh orange juice for the best flavor; store-bought juice works in a pinch.
  • Greek yogurt adds protein and creaminess but can be omitted for a dairy-free version.
  • Adjust the amount of honey or agave syrup depending on your preferred sweetness level.
  • Add ice cubes gradually to reach your desired thickness without diluting the flavor too much.
  • Can be made vegan by omitting Greek yogurt or substituting with a plant-based yogurt.
